Everyone can learn how to study more effectively and finish the course they started, regardless of their ability or desire to do so. How many of the successful persons I studied shared the same one thing in common with each other, and what was it? Having a strong will to succeed was the driving force behind their ascension to elite status.
Many of the world’s most successful people all felt that they could achieve their goals in their chosen fields of work. However, many of them had to try and fail many times before they finally achieved their dreams.
I learned from my research that many of the successful people I interviewed never accepted defeat as an option to quit up, and that they used a variety of techniques to educate themselves. To begin, they jotted down their ideal outcome, but as they did so, they also became aware of the abilities they’d need to achieve it. They were willing to put in the time and effort to learn new things and improve their own abilities.
They began by setting smaller, more manageable goals, and then went about acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve those smaller, more manageable goals. Writing down affirmations on an index card and reciting them over and over in your head until they become a part of you is a common practise among them. In this way, the message is ingrained in your subconscious and becomes a part of your everyday thinking.
Take Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example. He started out as a normal guy, but now he’s a multimillionaire. In his imagination, he had this vision of himself arriving here. For this reason and in support of his goal, as well as affirming his dream in his thoughts, he visualised it and worked hard on his physical and nutritional well-being. He studied and read much in order to educate himself, yet he never lost his love for his aim.
